Sweden - New livestock transport rules

The Swedish Board of Agriculture (Jordbruksverket) has proposed new regulation of animal transports that is planned to take force by the beginning of 2010. The new regulation is mainly clarification and simplification of existing rules, according to the Board.
However, there will be increased requirements for temperature regulation of transports of pigs and poultry.
